According to Mahamudra, the principle practice for "getting to know" the nature of mind is meditation.
Buddhist traditions have long recognized the importance of more intensive meditation and mindfulness practice periods,
away from our everyday concerns and activities. In turn, at the end of a retreat, our deepened awareness extends
into our daily lives, invigorating us and enhancing our appreciation for everyone and everything that our daily
life offers to us.
In addition, for those who have recognized the nature of mind, the Third Karmapa Rangjung Dorje gave the following advice:
Recognizing mind nature is not amazing, not very special.
The important thing is to maintain it continuously.
This one-day retreat provides us with a unique opportunity to recognize and honor the unfabricated and open
clarity of our mind, simply and directly, as the one we are right now.
